This is one of the most common questions we get from customers. So, we’re posting a video above which we got from youtube.
We’ve also re-written the steps below
HOW TO CONNECT YOUR LAPTOP TO A PROJECTOR
- Make sure your computer and laptop are both turned off.
- Connect the video cable (usually VGA, it’s the black wire with blue plastic plug) from your laptop’s external video port to the projector. (For Apple & Macbooks, YOU NEED AN ADAPTOR)
- Plug your projector into an electrical outlet and press the “power” button to turn it ON.
- Turn on your laptop.
- If you need audio for your presentation, connect the laptop’s “audio out” port to another sound system (we only rent out the Projector which has NO SOUND).
- Sync the projector and laptop by holding down the FUNCTION key “Fn” (usually on the lower left of the keyboard) and pressing one of the following F Keys; F4, F5, F7 or F8 (this will vary depending on your laptop model)
