This will explain what ANSI-LUMENS are, what kind of projectors you need and the kind(s) of projectors needed for your events (depending on the number of participants, ambient light, etc.)
1. ANSI LUMENS
Ansi Lumens – Lumens are a unit of measurement of the total brightness that comes from a light source- in this case a projector. You may also see the term ANSI Lumens, ANSI is an acronym for the American National Standards Institute. In general, the more lumens a projector is rated as, the brighter the image on the screen.
2. What Kind of Projector Do I need, then?
It all depends on the following factors:
- The amount of ambient light in the room
- The number of viewers or audience
